Earth Hour

March 28 is celebrated as Earth Hour. Earth Hour is a global environmental initiative organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), encouraging individuals, communities, and businesses to turn off non-essential lights and electrical appliances for one hour, from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. local time. This symbolic act aims to raise awareness about climate change, energy conservation, and environmental sustainability. Earth Hour began in 2007 in Sydney, Australia, and has since grown into a worldwide movement with millions of participants across more than 180 countries. It serves as a reminder of the importance of taking action to protect the planet and reduce carbon emissions.
